At Making Music Academy, the journey with music begins in childhood and continues through the years, growing alongside each student, and each family, who walks through our doors.
We are an award-winning music school located at 370 Torbay Road, St. John's, and we are proud to be a home away from home for hundreds of families from across the region, including Torbay, Flatrock, Paradise, CBS, and beyond.
From a baby's very first beat to a teenager's quiet pride after learning a new song, something meaningful happens here every single day. Music brings confidence. It builds friendships. It creates memories that last far beyond the lesson itself.

Babies, toddlers and preschoolers (Ages 0–5)
If you're looking for your little one's very first activity, this is a beautiful place to begin. Our Little Music Makers programs are designed to nurture social, emotional, and musical development through play, movement, and shared connection. Every family is welcome. Every class is joyful. And yes, you'll feel it from the very first session.
Children and teens in private lessons (Ages 45 and up)
When your child is ready to focus, explore, and grow, private lessons offer a space where they can truly flourish. Whether they're brand new to music or building on existing skills, every student is met with encouragement, respect, and a personalized approach. They'll be learning music, but they'll also be building life skills like self-expression, patience, and resilience.
Adults returning to music
Music isn't just for kids. If you've always wanted to learn an instrument, or if you're returning to music after years away, this is your moment. Lessons are tailored entirely to your pace, your goals, and your reasons for making music. No pressure. No judgment. Just a warm, welcoming space to try something new, or rediscover something you once loved.
